Relief Society - what it stands for

I love what the Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints stands for.  I think the motto is Charity Never Faileth, but I also love the statement below:


The Relief Society of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

"We are beloved spirit daughters of God and our lives have meaning, purpose, and direction.
As a worldwide sisterhood, we are united in our devotion to Jesus Christ, our Savior and Exemplar.
We are women of faith, virtue, vision, and charity who:

Increase our testimonies of  Jesus Christ through prayer and scripture study.
Seek spiritual strength by following the promptings of the Holy Ghost.
Dedicate ourselves to strengthening marriages, families, and homes.
Find nobility in motherhood and joy in womanhood.
Delight in service and good works.
Love life and learning.
Stand for truth and righteousness.
Sustain the priesthood as the authority of God on earth.
Rejoice in the blessings of the temple, understand our divine destiny, and strive for exaltation."


I have it on a bookmark that I read almost daily because it's in my shower where I can read it everyday. I know I'm a dork, but my shower is glass, so I just stick it on the outside of the glass where I can see it.  And for me - I had a bad of habit of thinking negative thoughts while showering, so I decided to change the habit and put up positive and uplifting thoughts so that I wouldn't fall into that trap.  Anyway, I love reading this everyday.  It reminds me of my worth, and what I can accomplish if I want to.  Thank you to whoever was inspired to write it and make it a part of relief society.  I am so grateful for the reminder in my life of who I am.
